It's been a while since I posted any updates here, sorry. I blame France.
Well, that's not really fair. It's not like post-Brexit, Francois Hollande called me up and said, 'You know, now zat you're no longer one of us, you cannot write! Zut alors, get going wiz Article 50!'
No, what I mean is, we've been in France for a while recently, back at Migennes getting our boat Liberty - heroine if the book Against The Current - back in the water after 20 months' sitting on dry land. And we haven't had good Internet access.
Again, it's not France's fault, it's entirely ours for not subscribing to a reliable roaming service, as many of these seem fraught with problems where you either suddenly find all the broadband you signed up for disappears, or you get charged a fortune in unsuspected costs. Or both. Look up any forums on the issue of Internet in Europe and you'll find horror stories that would have Bram Stoker turning in his grave.
There are solutions to getting good internet at reasonable cost while on the move but we haven't had time to find one that suits us yet. Will let you know if and when we do.
Anyway, our focus was the boat, and we didn't have much time for writing. Plus, for some reason the provider of this website - Wix.com - doesn't enable me to edit the site from my iPad, which is very frustrating. Other than that I can recommend them as a source of easy web design and content management. But enough of that, they're not paying me to say this.
Instead we did write some blogs back on our old and trusty OffExploring site (where Against The Current was born), so here's a link to the first five: http://bit.ly/2aYGcXe. There are 10 in total. These are to do with being in France rather than anything to do with writing books, but I hope you enjoy them anyway.
